Too often, women become the victims of violence because they have not been taught how to defend themselves.  Many times, a small amount of training is all that is necessary to prevent some of the tragedies that befall women in vulnerable situations.  Whether the danger comes from men or from women meaning harm to hapless victims, knowledge of self-defense can make an immediate difference and change the outcome of otherwise tragic circumstances.  Friends of Summer has decided to join forces with Achieve Foundation in order to raise awareness of Women's Self Protection Measures in Honor of Summer Shipp.
